At last count, the estimated population of Brunei is at 305,100. Majority of them, estimated at 201,100 lived in the BSB-Muara district. About 8700 of the population lived in Temburong. 67% of the population constitute of Malays and this includes indigenes of the Kedaya, Tutong, Belait, Bisaya, Dusan and Murut tribes. Chinese make up 15% while the remainder comprises of Indians, people of smaller tribes and another 20,000 expatriate workers from Europe and Asia.
