Together with
partner Tina Ooi, Rhona has created a homely haven in the
city, one where "subtlely, comfort, cleanliness, quality
and beauty" co-exist. In fact, that is the first thing
one notices about Sambo, how everything is designed with
comfort in mind - it almost is like a home away from home.

Housed in the
ex-Long Island Iced Tea House, Cafe Sambo's cuts a pretty
picture indeed with couches, armchairs, bamboo chicks, dark
wooden furniture and a piano adding a familiar charm. The
colour code is bold yet safe - royal blue is mixed with cream
and rich hues of wood, and the bright red carpet add a dash
of verve to the proceedings. Sambo's exudes a warm and cosy
ambience and it is a wonderful meeting point for conversation,
coffee and a taste of the cafe - lifestyle now gripping the
masses among KL's middle class. Part IKEA, part Asian, Sambo's
epitomises all that is currently chic and elegant.
