Itinerary :
Day 1
Upon arrival, you will be met and proceed for city tour. The highlights of this tour include the gigantic Cat Stutue (The city's Mascot). Tua Pek Kong Temple (1876), the imposing Fort Margherita (1879). Kuching Waterfront, the Astana (former resident of White Rajah) and Sarawak Musuem, which is acknowledged as on e of the finest in the world. Pass by Malay village on the way to the Old Gambler Spice Street with their open-air market. Then transfer to the resort(Kuching Holiday Inn Hotel). Free at leisure after check-in. (Please book morning flight in order to enjoy the city tour, otherwise no replacement for the city tour)
Day 2
After Breakfast, proceed for Irrawaddy dolphin watching. The cruise criss-crosses the mouth of the Santubong River in search of the rare Irrawaddy Dolphin. The Irrawaddy or snubfin dolphin, inhabits rivers, estuaries and shallow coastal areas. You will need a keen eye to spot the dolphin at the first but after a short wait, they can often be seen surfacing all around the boat. After lunch, proceed for the Sarawak Cultural Village. The village is a wonderful microcosm of the state's rich and colourful cultural diversity. Village also provides an insight into traditional past-time activity such as tattooing, blow-pipe making, weaving of the "pua kumbu" and top spinning. Traditional dances and other cultural performances are frequently held in the Village.
Day 3
After breakfast, depart in the morning by road to Serian for lunch. Continue to Batang Ai. Upon arrival at the riverbank of the longhouse, take a short 5-minute plank walk leading to the Ugat Sea Dayak Longhouse. Experience the colourful sights and sounds of the longhouse where large families live under one roof peacefully. Spend the night in the longhouse with the natives. Withness the traditional "Ngajat" or War Dance and try "tuak" (a potent local rice wine).
Day 4
After breakfast, depart for a jungle walk with an Iban who will also demonstrate his blowpipe skills. A dip in the cool river is possible. Towards the late morning, return down river for your journey back to Kuching. Overnight in the city.
Day 5
After breakfast, free at leisure until your departure transfer to the airport.
