FULL-DAY CYCLING TOUR SOUTH OF CHIANG MAI

Get ready for take-off at 09:00 a.m., leaving the hotel for the streets of Chiang Mai. Traffic is light at about that time and we begin our journey south, following the Ping River downstream. The ride is pleasant and green due to the proximity of the river. Our first stop brings us to a setting reminiscent of the early years of the century. Although a former leper colony, riders will find here a heaven of tranquility in woodland surroundings. Continuing to the south, you will discover the real rural Thailand. Small country roads will lead us to Ban Tawai village, famous for its woodcarving artisans. There is time to look around while lunch is prepared at a local restaurant. Refueled and ready for the return journey, we take a scenic route back. We explore the temple ruins of the former site of Chiang Mai before we cycle back to present day Chiang Mai. Entering the city will be no problem. Our bicycles are part of the solution! Arrival at the hotel is around 16:30 p.m.
